Rising from the dusty streets of Biesiesvlei, North West is an Amapiano & Hip Hop recording artist Droatest, formally known as Tshwarelo Legae. Interesting to learn that he’s one of the few artists with a great educational background and school track record. He’s a qualified chartered accountant and an entrepreneur, and his mantra is “I can be whoever I want to be because I believe in myself”. He’s always had a passion for music since high school when he used to record himself in his bedroom studio at his parents’ house. Hugely inspired by the Hip Hop lifestyle he learned how to record himself using a basic microphone, computer, and FL studio. After high school, Droatest intended to use university to go to Johannesburg to pursue his musical dream. He enrolled at the University of Johannesburg to pursue an accounting degree as well as music, however, could not actively pursue music at that stage as he had to focus more on his education. It was only years later after completing his studies that the artist followed music at a professional level as he could not suppress his ambition and passion for music anymore.
